How to become a member of HSC



How to join HSC:

  • Tune-in on the HSC frequencies, 25 kHz above the lower band edge and work HSC members.
  • You should be able of sending and receiving CW at 25 wpm fluently.
  • Use common CW terms and show excellent operating practice. Use full-bk (QSK) if possible.
  • Be kind and fair, observe the unwritten laws of ham spirit.
  • Ask HSC members for sponsor QSOs.
  • These QSOs must last at least 30 minutes under the conditions shown above.

HSC

Once you have 5 sponsor QSL cards in your possession (they must contain begin and end time of QSOs and QSO speed and they must origin from five different QSO partners) send them together with an application to the HSC secretary. Sponsor QSL cards don't expire. To cover our expenses, please enclose 5 EUR. There are no more costs for lifelong HSC membership

Attention: The application must contain a written statement, that you did not use any kind of keyboards or decoders. Applicants of Germany must state, that they're member of DARC or VFDB.

Your application will be checked and if everything is OK you will get your membership award accordingly. In case of doubt or objections against the applicant the HSC Committee will decide if membership will be granted. The Committee's decision is final.

New members will be announced on our internet web site instantly, in the German amateur radio magazine CQ DL and in our monthly HSC bulletin on the air.
